The browser-based workflow is easy to understate, but it changes the whole feel of the product. If making an app video requires too much setup, teams delay it. If the tool opens quickly in the browser, the barrier to creating or revising a polished draft is much lower.
This will become a richer page later, especially once we document account flows, sharing, and the relationship between the hosted editor and the public player/runtime. For now it exists as a short stub because it is still one of the product's clearest practical advantages.
